Sanctuary in the Streets: Mass Incarceration and Detention

This months general assembly of Sanctuary in the Streets with be drawing connections between Mass Incarceration and Immigrant Detention. We will also talk about concrete ways we can stop criminalization and detention and organize to pass drivers licenses for all regardless of immigration status.
We will be joined by Lois Ahrens who is a life long organizer, almost 20 years ago she began the Real Cost of Prisons Project a national organization working to end mass incarceration and mass criminalization.
We will also be joined by members of the The FANG Collective to talk about their campaigns at the Bristol County Jail where there is a 287G agreement.
