On February 4, Baystate Health announced it plans to open a behavioral health hospital in the Springfield area with the for-profit company US HealthVest and close inpatient behavioral health services at Baystate Franklin, Noble and Wing in about two years.

Join us to discuss this important issue!

Members of our communities face a growing need for behavioral health and substance abuse services. Baystate’s plan to shut down these very services raises many questions about the impact on our communities.

Baystate has a non-profit mission to serve the health care needs of everyone in our communities. It has also pledged to improve mental health services in the region. Will this plan fit that criteria? How will closing local services and centralizing under a for-profit in an unknown location affect local patients and their families?
Join us and share your experiences and thoughts about Baystate’s plan on February 28.
