Position Description:
1199SEIU United Health Care Workers East (Massachusetts Division) seeks a full-time Communications Assistant. This entry-level position will assist the Communications Director in all operations and work closely with the Politics and Communications team.

Consultant Position

The 1199SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund, on behalf of a labor/management partnership, is seeking to hire a Consultant to facilitate and coordinate a 6-month planning grant for an innovative healthcare workforce initiative.

Major duties will include:

 Coordinate all activities required to complete planning phase of grant
 Convene and sustain a workforce partnership between all stakeholders
 Assist employer partners in identifying labor/skill needs and hard-to-fill positions

ORGANIZATION  
The Irish Immigration Center (IIC) is a vibrant and progressive nonprofit organization with a diverse and enthusiastic staff working with immigrants of all nationalities.  IIC's mission is to assist individuals and families in making the economic, psychological, and cultural adjustment to a new land, not only by meeting basic needs, but also by helping them to become active participants in this society.  Programs include immigration & citizenship services; community counseling services, including substance abuse and mental health counseling; immigrant rights organizing; cross-cultural work; ESL classes, and international programs, which contribute to efforts to broaden and strengthen the peace process in Northern Ireland.  Central to the IIC's vision are an inclusive, nonsectarian philosophy, a model of self-help, and a commitment to community-based empowerment.
