Stop
and Shop workers continue to negotiate with the
company until tomorrow. The cashiers,
meatcutters, and clerks at Stop and Shop are loyal, productive
workers who serve our community every day. Their employer
is the most profitable and successful supermarket chain in New
England. The company is trying to repay their loyalty and
productivity with benefit cuts that would threaten health care
for their families and force our communities to shoulder the
cost of healthcare. The average workers makes less than $15 an
hour and would be very negatively impacted by the company's
demands. Its time to show the power of
solidarity! Tell Stop & Shop that if the company wants to stay number one in New England it has to meet community standards by doing the following:
