UFCW Stop & Shop Workers Need Your Help

Stop and Shop workers continue to negotiate with the company until tomorrow.   The cashiers, meatcutters, and clerks at Stop and Shop are loyal, productive workers who serve our community every day. Their employer is the most profitable and successful supermarket chain in New England. The company is trying to repay their loyalty and productivity with benefit cuts that would threaten health care for their families and force our communities to shoulder the cost of healthcare. The average workers makes less than $15 an hour and would be very negatively impacted by the company's demands.  Its time to show the power of solidarity!

Here's how you can help!

Tell Stop & Shop that if the company wants to stay number one in New England it has to meet community standards by doing the following:

    • Please tell the store manager that the company needs to settle on a fair agreement with its employees or you will spend your grocery dollars elsewhere.
    • Tell workers at the store that you support them!
    • Call 1-800-767-7772 and tell Stop & Shop that jobs have to come with quality health care for a healthy community.
