Victory Report! Fired for May Day Activity? Not in Massachusetts! A few employers took the unfortunate action of firing workers for participating in May Day activities. We are happy to report that these 3 employers have since reconsidered their actions. These employers have offered to take back all but one worker, who was offered 2 months pay in lieu of his job. There are still a couple of cases pending that we will be wrapping up by the end of the week, and may still need your support. These victories were accomplished with the help of many of you who went on delegations and made phone calls to the employers. A special thanks to all that helped protect workers’ right to free speech! |
