What Can I Do?

But you’re only one person!

What can YOU do to support Occupy Boston?

Occupy Boston is fighting for an economy that works for us.  Here’s how you, as an individual, can keep the movement alive:

  • STAY INFORMED!  The official website, www.occupyboston.org, is updated daily.  Check the site for breaking news, or follow Occupy Boston on Facebook or Twitter!
  • VISIT Occupy Boston in Dewey Square!  Tour the site, volunteer your time helping out at the encampment, or share your specials skills with the occupiers.
  • MARCH with the 99%!  For a schedule of upcoming actions, see the calendar at www.occupyboston.org/calendar
  • DEFEND Occupy Boston!  As peaceful protests like ours are shut down all over the country, often without leaving time for the public or the media to react.  If you want to receive updates in the event of a forced eviction, text "OccupyBoston" to the number "443322" – if you don't receive a confirmation text within 5 minutes, text your number to (617) 340-9905 to be manually added.
  • DONATE money, food, or supplies!  For instructions and a full list of what’s needed, see www.occupyboston.org/get-involved/donations/.
  • WEAR a button or sticker that says you support the 99% -- then use it to start conversations with your friends, families, and co-workers about why we need to stand together for economic justice! Email JwJ if you want us to send you one!
  • OCCUPY your own front yard!  Can’t make it down to Dewey Square? Bring the occupation to your neighborhood.  Join the Occupy Boston Tentathon by pitching a tent in your own front yard.  For more information on how you can participate, visit www.facebook.com/OBTentathon.
