Action for Security Guards in Boston!

All day event

On October 8th and 10th there will be several actions in support of good jobs in the security industry. This month will be critical to ensure that 1,200 Security Officers in Boston and Cambridge get a fair contract. Contract negotiations went all summer and it is time to get this thing done!

Communities Are In Distress

These Officers protect life and property in high rent commercial buildings in Boston and Cambridge.  But at the end of their shifts, many of them go back home to neighborhoods that are in deepening distress.  Home foreclosures.  Evictions. Youth violence. Unemployment. These problems plague our communities

We Need Good Jobs

What we need more than ever are decent, family supporting jobs.  We are in the middle of negotiating with our employers to raise up the pay and benefits standards in our historically low-wage industry.  The improvements we seek will not only allow us and our families to do more than barely survive but will also help to bring more resources into our communities at a critical time.

The quality of our jobs and our communities depends on successful bargaining.  Good jobs equal stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger economy.  Show your support by trying to attend and participate in one or more of the following actions.
