Legal Rights
of Union Stewards 6:00 – 9:00 PM at UMass Lowell,
Alumni Hall, 1 University Avenue, North Campus. In
this workshop will review the legal rights of union stewards and
how to use and enforce those rights. It will explain such
important labor law subjects as the immunity rule, the equality
principle, the union's right to information, Weingarten rights,
and protections for the grievance process. There will be time
for questions and discussion. Co-Sponsored by the UMass
Lowell Labor Extension Program and the Merrimack Valley Central
Labor Council (MVCLC). COST: $10.00 for 1 Session or
$15.00 for 2, 5 or more from the same Union: $8.00 for 1
Session or $12.00 for 2. Materials and Light Refreshments
will be provided. Books by Robert Schwartz will be
