Protect marriage equality in Massachusetts

Solidarity Alert!

On June 14th, the Massachusetts Legislature will meet for a final vote on an anti-equal marriage ballot amendment.  Jobs With Justice encourages you to join MassEquality in their efforts to defeat this discriminatory amendment. Time is short - but there is much you can do to make a difference to help protect marriage equality in Massachusetts :

Contact your legislator (link: http://www.massequality.org/action/start.php). Ask them to support   marriage equality by voting down this amendment.  Ask your friends and family to take action.  MassEquality has created an interactive map system (link: http://www.massequality.org/action/maps/) that allows you to see which districts are represented by anti-equality legislators. If you have friends or family living in one of these districts, forward them this email and ask them to take a moment to contact their legislator.  Write a letter to your local paper (link: http://www.massequality.org/action/lte.php). You can use MassEquality's online LTE tool to quickly and easily send a letter in  support of equality to your local paper.  Volunteer: MassEquality is running phone banks every day from now until the Constitutional Convention, asking identified marriage equality supporters in key districts to contact  their legislators. Contact MassEquality's volunteer coordinator, Cari  Bohm, at CariBohm@MassEquality.org or 617-878-2366 to sign up.
