MBTA Public Hearing

Monday, February 13, 2012 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location

Boston Public Library, 700 Boylston Street
Boston, MA

Please attend a public hearing to tell the T your thoughts on the impact of fare hikes and service cuts!

The MBTA has released two proposals for fare hikes and service cuts to be implemented at the start of their fiscal year in July 2012. The public has a chance to respond through hearings in January and February. In March, the MBTA will draft recommendations on the fare increase and service reductions for approval by the MBTA board in April. (By law, the T has to have a balanced budget by April.)

If you cannot attend a hearing, please contact your legislators, invite them to the hearings and ask them to help find a solution to MBTA debt. We all depend on public transit, whether we ride, drive, walk or bike. Let's find a way to keep our system running and our economy strong!
