Day of Action Against Verizon & Darden

Darden Resteraunt Chain's CEO (which own Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Capitol Grille, and many others) Clarence Otis Jr. is a member of the Verizon Board of Directors. As a board member he is morally responsible for the direction bargaining has been taking. This is why workers from CWA and IBEW will be taking action on June 22nd, the anniversary of the start of bargaining with Verizon. Verizon workers and their supporters are also bringing attention to the gross inequalities in the restaurant industry, where workers are routinely paid $2.13 per hour; meanwhile Mr. Otis was compensated nearly $8.5 million last year.

On June 22nd, join employees of Verizon Communications to express our solidarity with employees of Darden Restaurants and to share our concerns about the treatment of workers at both of these corporations. Outside of Boston, please email Jenn for locations.
