Workers' Rights and Contract Fights. Employee Free Choice is in trouble and workers' rights are under attack. What are the next steps for labor law reform? How should we respond to the growing attack on our standard of living?
Come to the "Troublemakers" School for work-shops on hot topics:
• Building a stronger local union
• Workplace organizing
• Contract campaigns
•Fighting layoffs and organizing the unemployed
• Community and labor alliances
• Political action for tough times
• Next steps for health care and immigration reform
•Jobs. Unemployment is still at record levels. Job insecurity is growing. Bank bailouts and tax cuts aren't working. Federal stimulus packages are too small. What can we do to get action on more jobs at the federal and state level?
• Health Care. After more than a year of hard work, meaningful reform for working families hasn't happened. Even the best case scenarios would have little or no impact in Massachusetts. What are our next steps to win real reform?
