Support Verizon Workers Campaign

Verizon workers need the support of allies to fight back against the attack on workers’ rights! What’s at stake?

On August 6, 2011, 45,000 Verizon workers courageously went out on strike to demand a fair contract. Their strike brought Verizon to their knees and, after 14 days, the company agreed to come back and negotiate in good faith.

However, one year has passed and Verizon still refuses to give its hard-working employees a good contract. Meanwhile, they earn billions in profit but pay nothing in federal corporate income taxes. They send thousands of jobs overseas, and still rewarded their CEO by increasing his salary 200% to $23.1 million. 

We are working with workers and the community to stand up to Verizon and let them know we will not stand for corporate greed.
